In February of 2017, while writing the sports biography CLODDY, I decided to start my own press to publish CLODDY and hopefully a few more books after that. I decided to name it Leone Press. “Leone” is my mother’s middle name and it means “Lion” in a couple of other languages. My mother, Carol Clodfelter, was a career educator teaching elementary school for many years. She also loved to write poetry. I thought it fitting to name the press after her and think she would be pleased.
